GP Surgery & Medical Cleaning in Swansea
Waiting rooms, consulting rooms and treatment areas, cleaned by DBS-checked staff who understand that a practice is judged on how it looks and how safe it is.
A surgery is the hardest kind of premises on this list to clean well. Footfall is constant, the people coming through are often unwell, and the surfaces that matter most are the ones everybody touches without thinking: door handles, reception counters, chair arms, handrails.
It is also the premises where who holds the keys matters most. Our staff are fully trained and DBS checked, which is not a box-ticking exercise when cleaning happens around patient records and outside surgery hours.
We have been cleaning medical premises around Swansea for years, and the routine is always built around your appointment book rather than ours.
What the work usually includes
Exactly what's included is agreed at the site visit. This is the usual starting point.
Waiting areas and reception
Seating, counters, handrails, children’s areas and the high-touch points between them.
Consulting and treatment rooms
Couches, work surfaces, sinks and floors, cleaned to the routine the practice sets.
Patient toilets and baby change
Sanitised, restocked and checked. Usually the first thing a patient judges you on.
Staff rooms and kitchens
Worktops, sinks, fridges and bins in the areas your team actually uses.
Corridors and door furniture
Handles, push plates, light switches and the floors connecting it all.
Floors throughout
Vacuumed and mopped on a frequency agreed to suit footfall.
What makes a surgery different
- High-touch points matter more than square footage, so we agree which surfaces get done every visit.
- Cleaning is scheduled around your appointment hours, not dropped in the middle of a busy clinic.
- All staff are DBS checked, which matters when they are on site around records and out of hours.
- Clinical and sharps waste stays with the practice and its licensed contractor. We work around it, we do not handle it.
- What gets cleaned, how often, and by when is written down, so there is no argument before an inspection.
What clients say
Real words from businesses we clean for.

By far the best cleaning company we have used. They are reliable, professional and always do a fantastic job. We can rely on them every time, and the standard of their work is excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Really pleased we decided on Celtic cleaning. We were having problems with odour from male toilets which they eradicated. We are happy with the cleaning standards and supervision, and on top of that they never miss a shift. Highly recommend them.

Asked about this service
Can you clean outside surgery opening hours?
Most practices prefer early mornings or evenings so the work is not happening around patients. Tell us the hours that suit when we visit, and the schedule is built around them.
Are your cleaners DBS checked?
Yes. Every member of staff is fully trained and DBS checked. In a surgery that is the baseline, particularly where staff are on site unsupervised.
Do you deal with clinical waste?
No. Clinical and sharps waste is handled by the practice through its own licensed waste contractor. We clean around it, and we agree the boundary clearly at the site visit so nothing is assumed.
